Franchise BBQ restaurant in Oakville closes its doors

Montana’s BBQ and Bar on Wyecroft Rd. in Oakville has closed its doors.

A message posted on the front door of the restaurant formerly located at 3537 Wyecroft Rd. told customers “See you soon.”

Local residents are now being encouraged to head to the Montana’s location at Hyde Park Gate in Oakville, Argentia Rd in Mississauga, or Davidson Crt. in Burlington to get their share of the saucy ribs, juice steaks or the host of other tasty items found on a Montana’s menu.

No reason was given for the closing.

“Our Oakville location will be closing, but don’t worry you can still get your saucy BBQ favourites at Montana’s in Burlington and Montana’s at Hyde Park,” said the sign posted on the door.

A proposal currently in front of Oakville Town Council is looking to build a daycare facility on the site of the former restaurant on Wyecroft Rd.

Some former customers remember fondly their visit to the popular franchise restaurant.

“Montana’s is a great place to go for great food, great atmosphere, and when (you) have great service by a beautiful young lady like Katelyn, it just doesn’t get any better,” said Charlene D. on Trip Advisor where she gave a five-star review to the Oakville restaurant.
