It looks like Taylor Swift, arguably one of the world’s most famous musical artists, doesn’t even have to be present at an event for it to sell out.

A “silent disco,” which invites attendees to dance to music while wearing headphones, featuring the music of Swift, is set to take place on Sept. 9 in Oakville’s Towne Square (94 George St.).

The party might be the next best thing for Swifties who are still hoping to lock down much-coveted tickets for the musician’s Eras Tour, which is slated to hit Toronto next fall.

“Slip on your headphones and immerse yourself in an auditory journey featuring the timeless hits of Taylor Swift while you  ‘Fearless’-ly flaunt your dance moves,” the event’s website reads.

The event, which will kick off at 7 pm in the town’s quaint downtown core, is alcohol-free. Attendees can instead indulge in complimentary specialty mocktails created by Flourish and Bask, Some Good Clean Fun and Soft Crush.

In recent months, Swift’s Eras Tour has made headlines for the high prices fans have been willing to pay to see the star perform live.

The tour will make its way to Canada next year with six nights booked at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. The singer-songwriter will perform Nov. 14 to 16, and Nov. 21 to 23, 2024.

Toronto is the only Canadian city with stops on her schedule.

Rogers Communications, which is a presenting sponsor, says the “Cruel Summer” singer is the first artist to perform six nights at the stadium in a single tour.
